Hi,

Is it possible to use the BQ24616 without connect it to the system? the charger will be use only for charge the batterie. That mean the BATFET will not be monted and the system will not be connected to the charger.

Hi,

Yes, there is no need to connect the system if you are not going to use it, and you can leave the BATFET pin floating.

Hi Steven,

Thank you for this information. If i don't connect the system, i can replace the resistor betwen ACN et ACP by an 0Ohm?

Hi Clément,

You will still need to put the resistor at ACP ACN for ACSET to work and limit the input current when it exceeds the setting at ACSET.
