BQ2031 24V 4Amp Battery Charging

Hi all, 

I started a new project with BQ2031, I have realised the schematic shown in the application note.(see DV2031 S2 Board Schematic )

I have some questions:

The power supply is a step-up circuit realized with LM3488 and generates about 38Vdc 5Amp.

My circuit have to charge 2 x 12V batteries (in series) with a capacity range from 30 to 80Ah.

I modified RB1= 562.5K , RB2= 49k9  RB3=530k, as requested for  a 24V battery voltage. 

I used jumpers to select Imax from 1A to 5A.

I think some components has to be modified, for example D2 (1n4744), R8, R22 of  DV2031 S2 Board Schematic, to let Q1 and L1 work properly with 24Vdc battery load. Do you already have calculate the value of this component in a project of the same type?

I also like to get some more details on the value of C14, the capacitor in parallel to the battery, which creates some problems in the recognition of battery absent condition and modifies the value of Vblk during charging.

The application note refers to CNFG2031 design software, but I cannot find where to download it.
