TPS22965 Adjustable Rise Time

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TPS22965

Hi,

My customer has question about TPS22965.
Could you tell me about questoin?

[Question]
- Is there slew rate formula under the following condition?

      Vin=1V, 1.8V, 2.5V, 3.3V
      Vbias=3.3V

  My customer tested TPS22965. The result is below.

      Vin=1.0V, Vbias=3.3V, Ct=3,300pF: tr=2.034ms(2,543us/V)
      Vin=1.8V, Vbias=3.3V, Ct=1,500pF: tr=1.665ms(1,157us/V)
      Vin=2.5V, Vbias=3.3V, Ct=1,000pF: tr=1.407ms(704us/V)
      Vin=3.3V, Vbias=3.3V, Ct=1,000pF: tr=1.802ms(683us/V)
      Vin=3.3V, Vbias=3.3V, Ct=3,300pF: tr=5.467ms(2,071us/V)

      *for 10% to 90% measurement on Vout
       Vin and Vbias are already in steady state condition before the ON pin is asserted high.

  The result is different from equation 1 in datasheet.
  Is it possible to culculate the rise time?

  • Hello Tateo-san,

    The equation in the datasheet is a formula for when VBIAS is set to 5V.

    Using collected data, I plotted a trendline and got the equation SR= .775 (CT) +107.41.
    Please keep in mind this is an APPROXIMATE formula and timings can vary from device to device.

    Hope this helps,
    Josh
