Hello Koskela-san,

I received following additional questions.

I think that the inrush current is limited by softstart function when start-up.
1. Then how much is the inrush current?
2. Can the inrush current be changed by setting register?

Hello,

LP8860 controls the external powerline FET gate current. The inrush current depends on the FET gate capacitance, pull-up resistor value and capacitance after the powerline FET. Gate current can be adjusted from 55uA to 440uA with EEPROM registers bits: PL_SD_SINK_LEVEL[1:0]. This effects how fast the powerline FET opens and what is the inrush peak current. Note that current must be high enough that after the soft start period the gate voltage of the FET is sufficient to turn on the FET fully.
