ucc2806

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: UCC2806

i am using ucc2806 in a push pull converter to get sine PWM output .

i am using 10% slope compensation on current sense pin

RT =15k, Ct=470 pf

Issue is i am unable to get below 10% duty cycle

Can someone help ?

  • Aniruddha,

    To be able to help we would need more details, schematic, component values etc.

    With the RC timing components indicated, the IC should give about 450 ns dead-time and osc freq of 70.4 kHz, i.e. 35.2 kHz at each output drive pin.

    When you say that you are suing 10% slope comp, 10% of what? How is it generated? Why do you need slope comp?

    If you cannot get below 10% duty cycle, then it means that the COMP level cannot get low enough (need to get to ~0.5 V for 0% duty), or there is a negative offset on the CS signal.

    Thanks,
    Bernard
