BQ40Z50-R1 parameter configure for LifePO4

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: BQ40Z50-R1

Hi,

Now I use BQ40Z50-R1 for 30Ah@4S LifePO4,but there are so many problem in the process of acquiring ChemID.

1.Now,when charge,RemainingCapacity() is always zero. The DataMemory file have been attached, pls help me to resolve.

2.I wonder whether the parameter is wrong.Because the default parameter is used for Li-Pol, I am afraid there is a conflict after I modify these parameters.Would you please give me a gg.csv file to reference?

I have to say that the function of BQ40Z50-R1 is very powerful ,but it is hard to learn especially for Lifepo4.

Thanks a lot.

  • Hi Zehua,

It seems like you have not been able to run a learning cycle as your Qmax has not updated. You will need to determine your ChemID and run a learning cycle to ensure accurate readings.

Please refer to my response to this thread to help you get started. The thread is with a different device, but the reply is still relevant. The only difference to note is that your cell chemistry is LiFePo4, so you may need to change the rest times to up to 48 hours to make sure your cell voltages have relaxed.

    Best,

    Justin

  • Hi Justin

Thanks for your support. Now I have determined my ChemID - 412. But OC flag still be set always, then CHG FET will be open and I can not charge cells to full.

The picture below is a screenshot for main registers. FCC only be 20mAh ,RC has negative value.

Do you know why it is?How could I do to make it normal?

    Thanks!
