PCIe 3.3V Aux power handle at Card side

Hola,

Can someone help to check if TI has application note or solution for the handling of the 3.3V AUX power at the PCIe card side ?

On the card side, the board 's 3.3V power may need to swap between 3.3V pin and 3.3Vaux of PCIe socket during power save mode (wake-ON-LAN)

I think a mosfet will also be involed.

Hi Jacky,

I am unaware of an application note on the subject, and I am a bit unfamiliar with the card side for how it handles power.

However, we do have one hot swap controller for PCIe:
www.ti.com/.../TPS2363

and if you need a power multiplexer (also known as MUX or PMUX), we have a list of devices here which can work for a 3.3V rail:

HI,
You may want to look on the TPS3701 as a smart and accurate MUX controller that can turn on the PCIe main channel and simultaneously turn off the AUX channel when the PCIe main got down to 3V (or any other level that the designer need). the UV and OV pins of the TPS3700 can be connected to two load switches with reverse current protection or to two FETs . the other option is to use two TPS25940 in a smart power MUX that explained in the datasheet how to implement.
