Dear Sir,

Can I use LM2596 as inverting buck converter for -15V o/p from 24 i/p ?

I want to configure it in inverting buck mode properly as shown in attached image.

Hello Amtech,

I would recommend looking at the datasheet particularly Page 27 through 30. This details how to configure this device as an inverting suply. The same schematics would apply for a -12V application as long as the 12V version of the LM2596 is being used.

24V to 12V is close to the 40V max. I would be careful.
