Unseal bq20z95

Can someone please email me the default Unseal and Full-Access codes for the bq20z95?

    Jason,

    Thank you for your response but the unseal key did not work. I had already tried that key because its published in the SLUA421A application note. I thought maybe the keys in the document were just for the purpose of demonstration. I'm using TI's Gas Gauge Eval Software for the bq20z95 and the EV2300 Communication tool. I can read other registers in the gauge so I know my setup is good.

    The manufacture that built our batteries claims that they did not change the keys so I do not know what the problem is.

    Hi Dave,

    I would check to make sure that the unseal key has not been changed. The SLUA421A guide should be all that you need to unseal the device. Page 19, Figure 26 shows you how to enter the default unseal code using the "Write 2 word Command" button.

    Also make sure there are no other SMBus transactions going on while you are trying to unseal the device. Make sure that you do not have scanning on.

    I believe the MFG that designed and built our battery pack changed the key. I'm working on getting the key from them.
