Ground Earth Connection in AC/DC Power Supplies

Hello,

I'm designing a power supply for a Forward with Active Clamp Topology with power factor correction by means of boost converter. In several kits from TI for Boost Power Factor Correction I've seen the following earth connections at AC side:

Could you please help me telling me how to choose earth connection and where to put it?

Choosing earth connection(s) involves deciding how to implement your EMC filter for compliance. There is not a standard EMI filter to guarantee EMC compliance and hence many times it depends on the past experience of the designer or by using the recommendation in the reference design close to your application.
