We are in need of a durable solar battery charger for a Tadiran TLI-1550A battery - tadiran.com/.../TLI-1550A.pdf. The max charge current is 100mA and the charge voltage is 4.1V. We are considering the BQ24210 but was wondering if TI would recommend anything else/better?

What is your solar panel VOC and ISC?

It is a 1.5W 5.5V Solar panel with a VOC of 10V. There is not any info about the ISC but the typical current is 270mA.

I, too, am looking to charge some TLI-1550A cells, but I want to do it 3s4p. Did the OP question get answered? I am considering a BQ40Z60 so that each cell will have a gas gauge to discourage overcharging. The input voltage will be regulated by a separate chip to be 12.3V (4.1Vx3). I like the idea of Impedance Track, but I am not sure the charging profile yet for these cells.
