I apply MIL-HDBK-217F to predict the failure rate of UCC2897PW(2897).

My question is:How many transistors or MOS in this chip?

And I need the thermal resistance from junction to case (theta-jc) for UCC2897PW(2897).The datasheet provide only junction to ambient.

Thanks for your interest in TI here.

Ucc2897 is not recommended for new designs(nrnd) but UCC2897A is active for new designs and a very popular device(with a lot of good reference designs at TI.com/power lab). Its Datasheet includes the thermal numbers you are interested in: www.ti.com/.../ucc2897a.pdf

I don't believe we can share with you the number of transistor but I will verify with the product line.

We do not provide transistor counts. We do provide "DPPM/MTBF/FIT Rate" information. I assume you are evaluating the UCC2897A and the following web page lists the specific Part #, you can see the link to the reliability data in the Quality a& environmental data" table..
