Hi,

My customer has questions about TPS65132B5.
Could you tell me about questoins?

[Question]
- My customer wants Vneg start-up time is minimum 500usec.
So he considers to use Cneg=10uF.
Is there any concern?

- My customer considers to use only Vneg(Vpos is disable).
Is there any concern?

Hello Tateo,

Thanks for the enquiry. Your customer can use a bigger output capacitor to increase the turn on time of the B5- Version although I can also recommend you to use the B2 (or L) Version as the startup time of this part is configured for 500 us. Does your customer could consider this solution?

Regarding the last question, yes it is possible only to use the negative rail no concern if you pull the enable pin of the positive rail against ground.

Thank you for your reply.

My customer wants -5.5V output and doesn't want I2C control.
So my customer wants to use TPS65132B5.
Is this ok for this suggestion?

I understand, yes in this case you can also use the B5- Version and increase the output capacitance.

Hello Tateo,

The variation of the startup current of the B5 Version in Smartphone mode lies at +/- 10% over complete temperature range.
At room temperature the variation lies at +/- 5%.
