LM5116 - the condition of diode emulation mode

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: LM5116

Hi all

Would you mind if we ask LM5116?

<The condition which the device enters diode emulation mode>
1. During this initial charging of C SS to the internal reference voltage, the LM5116 will force diode emulation.
That is, the low-side MOSFET will turn off for the remainder of a cycle if the sensed inductor current becomes negative.

2. If the SW voltage does not fall below the DEMB threshold before the end of the HO fall to LO rise dead-time, switching will default to diode emulation mode.

3. When RDEMB = 0 Ω, the LM5116 will always run in diode emulation.

About 2, DEMB > SW in case of the end of the HO fall to LO rise dead-time, the divice enters diode emulation, right?

Kind regards,
