EV2400 STAT LED issue

Hello, E2E community. My customer is having issues with the STAT LED either EV2400 board remaining off or remaining on, when he plugs into JP8. He has an NTC soldered to two leads.  The schematic does not seem to have a path from the TS signal to the STAT LED (except for something inside the bq25896). Thank you!

    When using the EV2400 with the bq2589xEVMs, in order for the battery charger to charge, you have to either remove resistor R9 on the EVM or disconnect the wire going to pin 4 of J8. The EV2400 pin 4 line is active high, which pulls the 896's /CE pin high, thereby disabling charge and not allowing STAT to change.
