We have a EMI noise issue on customer board.

So, we have some idea(question) to reduce the EMI noise.

1. Can we set the low ESR ceramic capacitor for the output capacitor(C2) in parallel?

2. Can we put the Ferrite bead to reduce the EMI noise.

Ferrite bead: 220ohm at 100MHz/2A

3. They are going to increase the gate transistor for reducing the EMI noise.

How much can we increase the gate resistor? (3ohm ~ ??ohm(max) )

Hi Koji,

Thank you for your question. All your ideas look good to me.

I'd recommend putting a footprint for an RC snubber as well on the SW node.

I need to check regarding your #3 with the designer. The Gate resistor value is a trade-off and need to consider Gate drive ringing into account.
