Hi,

Customer of mine intend to use this switcher for automotive infortainment. However, he is concerning if this device will operates in PSM during light load?

PSM would lower the switching frequency and may interfere with the AM band.

Please advise

Yes the device will go into PFM mode at light load. It is possible that it will drop into the AM band.

Thanks for answering my question.
if that's the case, does TI has DCDC/simple switcher does not comes with eco-mode?
DCDC specs as below:

Vin = 12V-40V
Vout = 5V, 3A

The LM53603 is a 3A device with a forced PWM mode.
