TPS23753AEVM-001 can pass or not pass the 3750VAC (Hi-Pot) test?

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TPS23753AEVM-001, TPS23753A

Hi Sirs,

My customer asked the TPS23753AEVM-001 can pass or not pass the 3750VAC (Hi-pot) test?

If they would like to refer the TPS23753AEVM-001 to develop prodcut, the schematics need or not need to do any modify?

  • Hi Henry,

The EVM design showcases the evaluation of the power using the TPS23753A and not a final end product system level design.

The transformer alone is a 1500VAC after looking at its datasheet and the isolation spacing will probably need to be larger. However, this is more of a system level/safety design question beyond the scope of the EVM.

I recommend having the customer's product safety engineers determine the layout/board considerations, spacing, and component selection as they should know more on the requirements they are trying to meet and what it will take to pass that requirement.
