Hi all

I intend to use the TPS 61040 as a Step up at two modes:

1.Input voltage is 5 volt and the output voltage is 10 volt and output current is 200 ma.

2.Input voltage is 3.6 volts and the output voltage is also 10 volt with 200 ma.

I like to know what is the efficiency curve for the both cases?

Hello,

Please go to the product page for the TPS61040. On this page on the right hand side is a tool called Webench. The operating characteristics that you are wanting to have modeled can be easily imputed into this tool. The results of the simulation will give you among a multitude of other information the efficiency curve for those parameters.

Hi,

TPS61040 is not fit for your application. Its peak switch current is only about 400mA.

I suggest you to use TPS61085, which is just fit for your applciation.

What is the target efficiency in your application?

The web bench tool doesn't work.It is stuck in a window that represents application is loading..

Hi Helen

I intend to consume maximum 200 ma from TPS61040 , What is the problem to use it if the Switch current limit is 400ma?

Hi Ben,

The maximum switching current of TPDS61040 is only about 400mA. At 10V/200mA output application, the input current current is more than 400mA, the switch current is more thaan 500mA, so its beyond the abolity of the TPS61040.
