Hi,
I'm designing a multi-cell battery charger that can charge different lead-acid batteries (12V,36V,48V for example) from a PV Panel input (VMP = 29V) which can provide a 36V input voltage in great solar conditions (in theorie 60V max). for such an application, i suggested a battery charger based on a DC/DC converter controlled by a µC to apply a constant current/constant voltage algorithm. Actually i don't really know which DC/DC converter topology i have to use. I heard that a SEPIC configuration is good for abttery charger application. Does it really fit with my case ?
Thank you for your support.
