CSD19535KTT Qg question

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: CSD19535KTT, UCC27714

Hi Sir,

My customer currently test CSD19535KTT D2PAK package to replace IRLS4030-7PPbF.

simulation use 6Vgs driver CSD19535KTT, test result ask me CSD19535KTT turn on fast but Qg is not be small,

Base on CSD19535KTT need enough driving current, I suggest UCC27714 ( replace  IRS21867S ), can driving CSD19535KTT?

1. Qg= I * Δ T = C * V2,   if  CV2 is constant, choices sink / source current can determine turn on time, right?

2. We can guarantee test condition as below VGS = 10V, VDS = 50V, ID = 100A can have Qg 75nC ~ 98nC?

  • Kuo,
Your thought process is correct for calculating the turn on time.

While Qg is not something that we test for in production, we impose a 30% margin for the maximum value. So it is more than safe to assume the Qg of the device will be less than 98nC.
