TPS25942A variable current limit

Hi,

Does TPS25942A operate properly if I implement a variable current limit configuration?

The idea is to adopt the usual resistor to ground and another circuit in parallel to it with a analog switch and a resistor in series. This analog switch would be controlled by some logic, providing two different current limits. In our case, the selection would be according to power source.

Is there any problem in using TPS25942A this way, changing limit resistor "on the fly"? Will it operate correctly?

Need any additional information?

Our apologies but this one has slipped past us. All questions related to "eFuse" devices such as the TPS25942A belong in the Load Switches forum. I will move this thread and ping the appropriate engineers who support this device.

Hi Luiz,

Your approach is perfect for switching the current limits. This method is well tested and recommended. No issue in changing current limit on-the-fly.
