bq34z100-g1 SOC dropped from 85% to 0% during high discharge

I have a log file from a battery pack with currents drawn as high as 100 Amps. During these high discharges the pack voltage drops by 3 to 7 volts. The gauge seems to be able to keep up for some time during a field test but eventually the State of Charge drops to 0% and does not return for the remainder of the test. When the gauge is disconnected and reconnected back in the lab it shows 96% SOH and 77% SOC.

Is there a way to cope with the large voltage drops that might be causing the gauge to lose track and drop the SOC to 0%?
