Currently I am working on BQ27541 gauge, , I need to SOH value for battery health feature.

I had flashed the golden image file into bq27541-200 , reset , enable "IT"

Then I charge (to 4.2V)& discharge(to 3.5V) battery twice.

but after these steps

When I read 0x2f which is the SOH Status:, the value of that register is still 0x0.

0x0 means ” – 0x00: SOH not valid (initialization)”

Does that mean I still have to do something to activate SOH?

SOH reporting should be valid after your cycling.

Please upload your golden GG file and a GG file from after your cycling. I will review it to see if it looks okay or if there is something wrong with it that might prevent SOH from working.

After I flash golden image file into gauge, I charge it more than twice ,

but this morning I flashed golden image file again, and the gg file I attached is the one exported after flashing

So the cycle number of charging might be less than twice .

The first GG file you posted had chemID 101 selected.

The second GG file you posted (just today) has chemID 144 selected.

Is the second one the correct one?

I think that you second golden file might not be properly learned. You have Update Status = 06, but did you fake this or did you let the gauge actually change it during the learning cycle?

In the Ra Table dataflash there are two copies of the table: Cell0 and xCell0

For a golden file they should both be the same. bqEASY will copy the learned data to both. However, your Cell0 table looks like it is learned, but your xCell0 table is the default data for chemID 144 (unlearned).

To summarize, I'm not sure if your golden file was properly created yet. This might be causing the SOH behavior to be incorrect.

I just export gg file with newly charged battery today.

I had checked this gg file , all the RA table has been properly updated.

Please help me to check it.
