TPS6590376: can I tie PWRON to ground?

It might be necessary to force the system to start when power is applied. Is it OK to tie PWRON to ground? Any conditions I should prevent (or assure) to avoid trouble?

Michael,

You shouldn't tie PWRON to GND. This is because during operating, holding PWRON low for 6-12 seconds will issue a LONG_PRESS_KEY power-off request.

If you want the PMIC to come on immediately when power is applied, consider pulling POWERHOLD (GPIO_7) up to VRTC. You can read this FAQ post for more details:
