Hi,

If my Vin=6V and Vout to be set as 5V, will there be derating factor to the maximum Iout 4A?

Based on Webench simulation, it seems to be ok for steady state load.

But unable to find concrete information on datasheet in supporting this. Just want to be sure.

Anyone can help to advice?

Hi Teoh,

Yes, the LMZ31704 can safely handle 4A under your operating conditions. Your conditions should result in less than 1W of power dissiaption and greater than 95% efficiency. No problem for this package.
