Hi,

My customer has question about LM2623.
Could you tell me about questoin?

[Question]
- How much is the variation of Max Switching Duty Cycle?
My customer considers to use under the following condition. Is there any conserns?

Vin=1.8V to 7.2V
Vout=5.5V *When Vin > Vout condition, it is ok Vout = Vin-Vf.
Iout=0.4A

Hi Tateo,

The Max duty cycle is ~90% on this part. When Vin crosses the boost converter threshold, Vout will track Vin and the boost converter will simply not regulate the output.

So, yes it is ok Vout = Vin-Vf.

Remember, there is no short circuit protection with this approach.
