LDO Selection for Audio Applications

Generally speaking PSRR and Noise tend to be the key parameters that are considered. This is of course after narrowing the field to devices that can accept your application's input voltage, output voltage, and load current requirements.

TPS7A30 and TPS7A49 are an example pair of LDOs that are often used for audio applications requiring positive and negative rails.

Hi Hari,

An LDO will not reduce the switching noise at the switching node of the buck converter.  The PSRR of an LDO will reduce the noise at the load providing the load with a clean power rail.
