Hi

Could you tell me about TPS92513 inducter?

My customer use TPS92513 the following condition.

・Vin=24V

・Vout=14.5V

・Iout=380mA(typ)/600mA(max)

・Fsw=1MHz

・LED ripple current target : under 10mA

 

Customer would like to use 100uH inductor above condition.

Is it possible to use 100uH above condition, and please give me recommend value of the inductor and capacitance?

If you have concern point, please tell me.

    The minimum recommended ripple is 75mA which gives you a maximum of 76uH from the datasheet equation. 100uH might be ok or it might not, it would have to be tested. I would still not recommend more than a 68uH standard value. Then to get the LED ripple current down to 10mA you need to use the Cout equation in the datasheet. It all depends on the dynamic resistance of the LEDs used.
