I have some questions in reading TI's help document(TIDU411), which is used for isolated IGBT gate-drive flyback power supply design. Specifications for power supply are
• Continuous output power of 2 W to drive each IGBT
• Support up to a 6-A peak current, with an output voltage ripple of less than 200 mV
However, I find that spcifications for the transformer are
• Four isolated outputs: Vout1 = 25 V at 150 mA, Vout2 = 25 V at 150 mA, Vout3 = 25 V at 150 mA, and Vout4 = 25 V at 450 mA.
It seems like that the power of transformer is 3.75W for each IGBT, totally different from that of the power supply!
How could I define my specifications for the transformer used for isolated IGBT gate-drive flyback power supply?
