TPS4H160 Thermal shutdown threshold

Hi

I have two question about thermal shutdown.

1.How much is the variation of thermal shutdown and thermal swing shutdown threshold? (On the datasheet, there is only typical value)

2. Regarding thermal shutdown and thermal swing,

     - When T(fet) > T(sd) , the respective output turns off. That means that the only channel which is over T(sd) turns off. Is that correct?

     - When T(logic) > T(sd), the all channel turns off. Is that correct?

     - When T(fet)-T(logic) > T(sw), the only channel which is T(fet)-T(logic) > T(sw). Is that correct?

  • Hi Koji,

I have contacted the appropriate engineer and they should get back to you soon.

    Thanks,

  • Hello, Koji,

    Thanks for reaching out.
    1. 175C +-15C.
    2. - When T(fet) > T(sd) , the respective output turns off. That means that the only channel which is over T(sd) turns off. Is that correct?
    --- Yes.
    - When T(logic) > T(sd), the all channel turns off. Is that correct?
--- No. The TSD only monitor the respective FET temp sensor, no relationship with Logic temp sensor.
    - When T(fet)-T(logic) > T(sw), the only channel which is T(fet)-T(logic) > T(sw). Is that correct?
    --- Yes. Five sensors fet1, fet2, fet3, fet4 and logic.
