I am using the chip bq40z60 to design a 3-cell management PCB according to the Typical Application Schematic in the datasheet of bq40z60.I have some questions about this chip.
1.The bq40z60 board designed can be connected by the Battery Management Studio via the EV2300 circuit module. The bus of between bq40z60 board and EV2300 Module is SMBus. But, it will disconnect 30 minutes later when I complete the connection for the first time. I measure the voltage of SMBD and SMBC pin after disconnecting. Their voltage is 0.32V,3.25V, which leads to the failure of connection of bq40z60 board and Battery Management Studio. But, their voltage is 3.25V,3.25V before I first time to connect them. Then,I measure the plldown resistance of SMBD and SMBC pin,which value is 880ohm,202K ohm. I think the chip is dead. But, I measure the plldown resistance again one day later. Their value is 440K ohm(SMBC pin) ,380K ohm(SMBD pin). It can be connected successfully again. But,it will be disconnected a few minutes . The pulldown resistance value of SMBD pin is very small.
I do think the SMBD pin is not breakdown according to my judgement.Why? Dose the chip go into sleep mode?How can I wake up if the chip goes into sleep mode?I find a Pin Equivalent Diagram of SMBus interface in bq40z50 datasheet.There is a SMBD_EN switch in this Diagram. I want to know whether the switch is on or not . The datasheet of bq40z50 can be apply on the bq40z60?
2.In order to keep the chip is work, which basic content I should configure,fox example?
