Hello :)

I actually want to design an active PFC PSS with the UCC28180 Controller.

There is an Excel Calculation Tool, but now there are some differences between the Datasheet and the Design Calculator.

The value of M1*M2 on Datasheet p 30 and the value at the M1M2 at the Excelsheet C180.

Why is there a difference?

Is there any other way to calculate Vcomp?

It looks like the calculator tool and the data sheet calculate different values of M1M2 at the loop compensation point.

Thank you for spotting this. I will see that the calculator is corrected.

In the mean time please use the equations in the datasheet to calculate M1M2

The Design calculator tool optimizes the loop at the mean of the minimum and the maximum line input voltages as compared to the data sheet example which shows the optimization and calculations only at the nominal low line voltage.

The spreadsheet has been updated to show VCOMP at full load calculated at any user specified line voltage and also to show VCOMP as a function of load at a fixed selectable line voltage. The User can also input the nominal line voltage where the fixed control loop components are optimized so if the user wanted to compare the calculations with the data sheet, just use 115Vrms for the line voltage for optimization.
