TPS549A20 and PMBus

I’m considering the use of a TPS549A20, as I have fairly severe size constraints, yet a need for upwards of 15A on a 0.85v power rail. Problem is, I have no access to a PMBus in my application. What options do I have with this device (do the defaults allow me to run w/o PMBus?), or is there another more suitable device w/o PMBus?

Try taking a look at TPS53353. There are also several controllers that will do that as well.

Thanks John - at first glance, I like what I see. Can you tell me the expected life of this part... can we expect TI to carry this in their catalog for 7 years? (my target)

There are no plans to obsolete this part in the foreseeable future. I would not worry about it.
