BQ34Z100-G1 Jumping to 100% SOC Early in Charge Cycle

Hi Guys,

I have been haviong trouble with the BQ34Z100 jumping to 100% state of charge early when charging. I have been using a charger that chargers and every few seconds will drop the current for a very short period of time. I suspect that the BQ34Z100-G1 picks up on one of these drops and it immediately jumps from its current SOC to 100% SOC. If anyone has had a similar issue it would be great to know. I have another pulse charger that I have not had any issues with which leads me to believe that it is an issue with this specific charger.


We are using a 6S NiMH Battery 4500mAH.

Please find attached an .srec file with all the details we used to program it.

I have also attached a log that shows the jump and a spreadsheet I created with the log.
