Project dashboard missing in bqStudio (bq27531)

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: EV2400, BQSTUDIO

Hello,

I'm starting the evaluation of the EVM bq27531 with the GDK (EV2400). The Help content mentions a "project Dashboard" that should be available in the toolbar. It is not the case for the Version : 1.3.52.

This feature might by very helpful to understand the recommanded procedure of building a Golden Image.

Is it a future feature or is it not available for bq27531 ?

Thanks

  • The dashboard is available for the bq27531 and bqStudio 1.3.52. It is on the left of the main window, showing the state of charge, state of connectivity and detected gauge.
  • Yes, this is the "Dashboard", but not the "Dashboard project" as mentionned in the Help, User guide. Description below:

    Project Dashboard

The purpose of the Project Dashboard is to outline the steps needed to configure a gauge to produce a golden memory image. This image can then be programmed to other devices during manufacturing. Project Dashboard is a guide and is not comprehensive. Configuration is done by setting values of parameters in non-voltatile memory. Some parameter values can be changed using the Question and Answer tool if included in bqStudio. All parameters can be changed using the data memory screen in bqStudio. The Project Dashboard will keep track of the operations already performed in a project file that can be saved and recalled at any time. The Project Dashboard screen will be updated with the current status when a project files is opened. The goal is to design, configure, and test a Golden Pack. The memory contents of the Golden Pack can be extracted using the Golden Image tool in bqStudio. This memory image can then be written to each gauge during manufacturing. The goal is to design a Golden Image that can be replicated to other device during manufacturing.
