Hi all,
I'm calibrating the cell gain of bq40z50-R1 with the procedure explained by TI.
Using an external voltmeter, with a 0.1mV precision i'm reading a voltage of 3395.6mV on Cell1.
The raw calibration value written in dataflash at 0x4000 is 12139.
After the calibration, a check with all the 4 cells is performed:
Cell1: External: 3397mV, bq40z50r1 : 3398mV
Cell2: External: 3391mV, bq40z50r1 : 3388mV
Cell3: External: 3396mV, bq40z50r1 : 3391mV
Cell4: External: 3396mV, bq40z50r1 : 3390mV
So we can see that cell1 is correctly calibrated, but cell2-4 have up to 6mV error.
Is it OK ?
Additionally, is is critical to have a 1mV accuracy on BAT and PACK reading ? or a 20-50mV accuracy is enough ?
Thanks,
Philippe
