Hi,

I am looking for 2A and 3A load switch.

Does TP22963C have bi-directional function like TPS22930A?

Could you suggest 3A load switch which has bi-directional function? And the package must be small.

Hi Daniel,

My apologies for the late response. The TPS22963C has bidirectional functionality when ON, but will block current in both directions when OFF.

My customer still confuse why TP22963C has bidirectional functionality when ON.

What path and dehavior when VOUT to VIN?

Hi Daniel,

When the device is turned on, the reverse current protection block is not active and passes all current through it in both directions. Also, the FET is turned on and current would be free to pass in either direction. Since these are the only two blocks between VIN and VOUT, there should be no blocking of reverse current.

When the part is off, the reverse current protection block will block current from VOUT to VIN and the body diode of the FET will block current from VIN to VOUT.
