Hello,
We are using the BQ27532 EVM and would like to have the charge current set by the external resistors (ISET and ILIM).
It seems from page 21 of the bq24250 data sheet we only need to change the jumper on EN1 (JP2), so that it is pulled up to LDO (4.9v). (Leaving EN2 (JP1) connected to VSS, as in the default factory setting.)
BQ27532 EVM has the value of R6 set at 249r. So according to the formula (also on page 21 of the bq24250 data sheet) this value should allow the battery to charge at 1A.
However changing the jumper settings seems to do nothing. No matter what we set these jumpers to the charge current hovers at little below 500mA. For example: Setting EN2=0, EN1=1 does not allow the charge current to be set by the external resistor. Also setting the jumpers set at EN2=1, EN1=0 does not set the charge current to 100mA, which is one of the other modes available.
How do I get the charger to respect these settings?
Thanks!
