May BQ25570 discharge the battery to power up the buck converter when solar input is 0V?

the customer tested the BQ25570 EVM and found that the battery could discharge to power up the integrated Buck converter, I checked the diagram and datasheet, I could not find any description on how the battery could be discharged. would you please help to confirm if BQ25570 may discharge  the battery to power up the buck converter when  solar input is 0V?
