Interleaved PFC using single wound chokes

I'm looking for a PFC similar to the PMP11062 design, but packaging constraints meant that I'll likely have to use two chokes. Given this, it'd be nice if I could make it an interleaved design, but all the application notes for interleaved controllers show the use of either chokes wound with an auxiliary winding or a current transformer for the zero current detection. Are there any controllers that support the use of the detection using current shunt resistors?

    Hi Philip,

    Are you talking about using a single current shunt resistor for interleaved PFC? Due to the component tolerance, the two phase current are not equal to each other, current balancing is needed, then each phase current needs to be detected, that's why 2-CT are needed. If your power stages are matched very well, current balancing may not necessary, then you can use a single current shunt resistor to sense the total current.
