Hello,
I had a question regarding the placement of the DC to DC converter (TPS61291) in the TIDA-00484 Reference Design.
In the block diagram the converter is placed BEFORE the load switch and is in series with the Timer. When the timer is off, the converter is placed in pass through mode and draws ~15nA. I was wondering if it was possible to place the load switch before the DC to DC converter and have the Timer in parallel with the battery. This way when the timer is off, no power is given to the DC to DC converter and it doesn't waste those 15nA. When the timer is enabled the DC to DC would be powered, enabled, and operate as normal.
Thanks for your help,
Joey
