Our customer is using UCC28701.

They found intermittent operation of UCC28701 at high temerature(around 140C).They consider to check this IC for abnormal case.

They would like to know why UCC28701 went to enter  intermittent operation.

They checked Vout and VS voltage did't go down before entering intermittent operation.

They just would like to know the reason.

    When you say 140C do you mean that the ambient temperature was 140C? 

    The UCC28701 has a abs max operating junction temperature of 150C. If the ambient is 140C then the internal power dissipation of in the IC could raise the temperature above this level and result in the device operating outside its ratings. 

    The device also has an internal shut down temperature of 165C nominal and it is possible that this is tripping and causing the intermittent operation you are seeing.
