Buck switching regualtor IC selection

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TPS54240, LM25011, TPS54260

Hi

I'm working on commercial 2 kW amplifier at this time. We need a 12 volt, 800 mA , aux power supply in this system to drive the control and driver IC's. The input this aux power supply sees varies from 20V to 40V.  . I'm trying to select a proper buck switcher. But I'm doubting between the choice of TPS54240 or LM25011. I understand that TPS uses a current mode control and LM uses on time constant method, but how does it affect my application? Which series should we pick for this application? TPS or LM?
