Hi,

Can LM3414 drive single red LED (Vf=2.8V) from 5V input? I can't find the minimum total Vf in datasheet.

Yes. There really isn't a minimum Vf unless you switch at very high switching frequencies and your minimum duty cycle is limited by the minimum on time. In this case your duty cycle will be >50% so it should work perfectly.
