UCC27322 9 AMP MOSFET DRIVER

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: UCC27322

ON THIS PART DO YOU SEE ANY PROBLEMS USING THE PART IN

PARALLEL TO INCREASE OUTPUT POWER...................................

ON ILE INPUT EACH UNIT WILL HAVE A 1 OHM .5% TO EACH INPUT  AHE ALL THE RESISTORS TIED TOGETHER AT THE OTHER END FOR THE

DRIVE SIGNAL , EACH OUTPUT WILL HAVE A 1 OHM .5% RESISTOR AND ON THE OTHER END ALL THREE RESISTORS WILL BE TIED TOGETHER

THAT WILL GO INTO THE GATE OF THE MOSFET.   THE DRIVER USED WILL BE ISOLATED AND FOR THE TOP AND BOTTOM DRIVERS I WILL USE A PARALLEL ASSY. TO DRIVE THE MOSFETS IN HI & LO APPLICATION THE + 15.0VDC POWER WILL POWER THE POWER DRIVER GROUP AND AT THE TOP THE +15 VDC WILL GO THRU A DIODE AND T 10 OHM RESISTOR FOR THE VDD AND A .47uF CAP WILL BE USED FROM THE TOP SOURCE BUS TO THE VDD PIN OF THR OUTPUT DRIVERS

LET ME NO IF YOU SEE ANY PROBLEM DRIVING THE UNIT AS INDICATED ABOVE

THANKS,

WILLIE L. MCCAIN

  • Hi Willie,

I have asked the driver team to review your application. They should reply soon.

    Regards

    Peter
  • The UCC27322 drivers have been used in parallel in customer applications in the past with no reported issues. The connection you indicate, with each driver output connected to a gate resistance, and the gate resistors connected together at the Mosfet gate is the preferred configuration. To limit any possible short duration cross conduction current.
