about bq500215EVM-648 Standby power question

Hi Sir,

 

My customer( http://www.timotion.com/ ) survey wireless charger solution, target standby power need under 1mA , but have some question need you help.

Currently promote bq500215EVM-648, peak current is 10mA,

In standby mode, how to decrease Quiescent Current ? I try to led mode short to GND, but current up to 43mA

    The bq500215 will use the same low power sleep mode as bq500212 with external RC circuits.
    See FAQ section of the forum "FAQ-bqTESLA TX Sleep Mode -- RC Time Constant Based".

    Shorting LED mode to GND will disable the sleep mode and increase standby current.
    If the application is non-Qi it may be possible to increase the snooze time beyond 500mS by changing the RC time constant.
    TX will send a digital ping to detect the RX.

    To meet the Qi certification requirements the TX needs to detect RX in 500mS. This will make it difficult to get to 1mA in a certified application.
