Hello,
I am using the TLC5927 in an automotive application. I have a problen with the error detection because I always detect an error, all the bits staus are 0. I think it is a problem related to Vo,Tth (short-circuit detection).
We are power the LED with 5V, we use only a LED per channel and the Vf is between 1,8V<Vf<2,5V
I would like to know if the voltage at the output pin has any requirement, i.e. if Vo has to be lower than Vo,Rth (1,9V)
In this way we have at Vo 5V - 1,8V= 3,3V => Vo always higher that Vo,Tth. To solve this, Do we have to put a resistor wetween the LED anode and the 5V power suply to get at Vo (output pin) a voltage wetween 0,6V and 1,9V?
In this way, we never can use the battery power supply to power the LEDs because this voltage is not stable.
Thanks
Regards
