Regs to read Battery information in BQ34Z100-g

We are working on a POS device protoype

We have to use Fuel Gauge in our system to detect the below battery properties,

1. Current Battery status in percentage not in volts.

2. Current Battery charge state(Charging/Not charging)

3. Alert system when battery percentage is less than 15%.

and we are planning to use TI's BQ34Z100-g to accomplish the above tasks.

I would like to know the Registers/commands that we can use in Application to get the above details.

I read datasheet but not sure got what I need. As I need to finish off this task. some help from here will be good.

I am catching up on e2e posts. The gauge reports the battery status as State of Charge (SOC). It reports charge and discharge status in the Flags() register. You can setup the ALERT register to report when the battery reaches a low voltage threshold. It can also report when the Remaining Capacity reaches a low threshold with the SOC1 and SOCF flags in the Flags() register.

Thank you for the reply sir,

Just a general doubt. So in all the smart phones we are using, we have seen now a days,
* when battery reaches 15% it will show as low battery and
* when the battery reaches 5% it will show a further final warning,
so does that means when Remaining Capacity reaches SOC1 is it where the phones Battery percentage will became 15% and when RM reaches SOCF threshold, is it where the phones battery will became 5% or less ???

Just a question out of curiosity.

That would be a good assumption. The SOC1 and SOCF thresholds are based on capacity and they must correlate to 15% and 5% in your pack.
