TPS3808G01 maximum delay time

Hello,

I would like to know, may I use TPS3808 with delay time abobe 10 seconds.  What is the maximum delay time/max Ct we can use with TPS3808?

Actually, I tried it with Ct = 6200nF for about 35 seconds and it works but I would like to know what the risk is when using it above 10 seconds.

    The main risk with extending this timing past 10 seconds is that the capacitors will have leakage current. If you look at section 8.3.2 it says that the current source is only 220nA, thus if the charging current is close to the leakage current the accuracy of the timing can be severely degraded.

    I suppose there is a MOSFET switch to discharge the capacitor; larger Ct capacitor will result in higher peak discharging current. What is the maximum safety limit for Ct in order to prevent any dammage to the discharging switch?

    I am not sure of the maximum current, but I know that it has only been tested up to a delay of 10s.
